Eris Noelle Prescott

Eris Prescott is a New Orleans based choreographer, performer, and teacher. They are a queer dance artist who believes in the power of movement to express, connect, and facilitate understanding. Prescott achieved a BFA in dance performance and choreography from Belhaven University in 2017 where they graduated with honors and received the Bezalel Award for outstanding artistic achievement. Prescott has performed in numerous works, working under choreographers such as Sung Yong Kim of Daegu City Dance Company, Cynthia Newland of Feet Speak, Elizabeth Dishman of Dishman and Co. Choreography, and Teresa Fellion of BodyStories. Prescott has choreographed works featured at the American College Dance Association Regional Gala Concert, the Mississippi Museum of Art, The Mississippi Lights Festival, Houston Fringe Festival, and the New Orleans Infringe Festival. Prescott has performed with numerous companies including Marigny Opera Ballet, ELLEvate Dance Company, and Commonwealth Circus Center. They are a founding member and Co-Artistic Director for Queer Abundance Productions. Prescott is thrilled to continue working as a performer and choreographer with Artivism Dance Theatre, where they joined the board of directors in 2022. Prescott continues to pursue artistic opportunities and strives to create work that sparks discovery, dialogue, and positive impact.
