Erika Torres

Erika Torres is a versatile, groove-oriented baritone saxophone player and vocalist with a diverse background in both dance and music education.
Based out of New Orleans, USA, her bright voice is distinct for its wide range, warm tone, and R&B-influenced agility—paired with an abrasive, blues-driven baritone. Erika has performed with a number of renowned groups in New Orleans and beyond, from popular local acts such as The Love Muscles and her own band, Erika Torres & Co., to international appearances at the Mid Europe Summer Music Festival in Schladming, Austria. She has mentored students of all ages, from children as young as five to adults, guiding them in developing their voices and musicianship both privately and in the public classroom.
As a dancer, she has studied ballet, jazz, and hip hop from a young age and continues to grow her craft at Artivism. Her dancing is marked by a dynamic blend of sharp, accented movements and fluidity, grounded in expressive freedom — all of which she aims to develop in her students.
