Bianca San Martin

Bianca San Martin was born and raised in New Orleans and is of Honduran and Puerto Rican decent. She is dedicated to volunteering with nonprofit organizations, as well as working closely with the Hispanic/Latinx Community.

Bianca has been a Latin Dance Instructor since 2006. After Katrina, Bianca and her dance partner were the first back to offer dance classes. They taught, traveled, and performed together for a year. Since then, Bianca has instructed latin dance lessons as a solo instructor and travels regularly to various states around the nation to train, instruct, perform, and participate at Latin Dance Events. She strives to curate spaces and experiences that celebrates and promotes Hispanic Heritage through Latinx culture, traditions, dance, and music. She honors her role as a cultural bearer and continues to strengthen her connections to the roots and history of her ancestors.

Her passion with the dance scene led her to become a DJ in 2016. Her signature style is a mix of Afro-Latin sounds including Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Cha Cha, Merengue, Afrobeats, and more. Her music selection will take you on a trip, connecting the Afro-Latin diaspora and all the decades. The same year, she created Louisiana’s first ever Latin dance Mardi Gras marching group called, Ritmeaux Krewe. Don’t be surprised if you run into DJ Lady B at a parade or on the dance floor! She teaches weekly Latin dance lessons and maintains the city’s only Latin Dance Events blog (NOLA Fleaux). Also, catch her live on FM radio! Sundays, 12-2p for COOLtura y CommUNIDAD on 102.3 WHIVFM.
